General Purpose:
This position is responsible for supporting operations by managing the company’s most valuable asset – its people.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills and other characteristics. - Manages the recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding process
- Lead member of the Culture Committee, instrumental piece of establishing positive culture
- Serves as the daily contact for employee inquiries and employee relations
- Develops, recommends, and implements human resources policies and procedures
- Assists with annual open enrollment including carrier changes and mid-year benefit election changes
- Oversees maintenance of employee handbook, policies and procedures
- Oversees HRIS usage & function, and other day to day activities
- Oversees employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, EAP, and 401k plan
- Maintains expert knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure organizational compliance;
- Supports Production Manager with safety compliance
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management ensuring regulatory compliance
- Develop human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action, including new policies and/or procedures.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to managers including coaching, counseling, career development and
disciplinary actions - Works closely with management and employees on morale and employee engagement initiatives
- Manages the performance review process, internal promotions, internal transfers and corrective action
- Supports Payroll Processor with timesheet preparation and Paid Time Off (PTO) approvals
- Oversees personnel record keeping
- Manages employee engagement programs including but not limited to: Employee Referral Program, Uniform Program, Quarterly Shopping Site, employee milestone anniversary celebrations, etc.
- Conducts HR employee surveys and reporting
- Develops and facilitates employee training as needed
- Participates in developing departmental goals, objectives and systems
