The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) organization has almost 1,300 chapters and over 1 million members across the United States. Helping to empower our nation’s heroes, they provide services such as:

What is Disabled American Veterans?

An organization chartered by the United States Congress, DAV promotes the interests of United States Armed Forces veterans and their families by providing everyday assistance, representing their needs, and spreading awareness both within and outside the community.

This could include:

  • Helping veterans find meaningful employment

  • Assisting veterans and their families obtain benefits and services

  • Providing transportation for veterans attending medical appointments

So far, DAV’s lofty goals have resulted in overwhelming success. They have:

  • Helped more than 1 million veterans in life-changing ways each year

  • Provided nearly 615,000 rides for veterans

  • Assisted veterans with more than 250,000 benefit claims annually

  • Attained more than $4 billion in new and retroactive benefits during 2017 alone

    I currently live in a nursing home but I hope to get a housing grant also so I can move out of this place. I am 58 and to young to have to live here.
